Carl Alberg and Alfred Luders designed many boats but this particular one grabs our hearts. When Carl Alberg passed away, a lot of his papers and drawings went to the Peabody-Essex Museum. We have been in contact with them and received a complete set of line drawings for the 23′ Sea Sprite. There were 5 drawings in all, with the original sizes ranging from 8.5″ x 17″ to approx. 24″ x 36″. They included both designs, the Weekender and the Daysailor.
A complete set of 5 line drawings for the SS23 is now available. The size is a standard 11″ x 17″ for all 5 prints, and the cost is $25.00, which includes shipping. Please go to the Store at SS23 Line Drawings for more information as well as guidance on how to order.
Hi;
I have to replace the fore and aft stays on the right side of my Sea Sprite 23 (there is a shroud in the middle but it looks great.
Can you tell me what length the fore and aft stays are and how/where to order so they have the necessary hardware at the bottom to mount in the turn buckle and at the top to attach via a pin to the mast?
Thanks,
