Up to 2017, this boat had good records on regattas done around Bristol, RI. Since then, she was modified to a solo-sailing-boat (with self-tacking jib and jib furler – see following picture (1)). The boat was used seldomly as day-sailing in the following years. Note that the 135% jib used in regattas still have a very good shape and can be easily installed and used in regattas.
In 2021 the Honda 2.3 HP motor was replaced with an electric motor “Torqueedo 1003” and the boat stern was modified to keep the motor and propeller installed out of the water [see following picture (2)] and, if required, the motor and propeller can readily be rotated into the water. Other recent mods include a main sail cover permanently installed on the boom and easily zipped around the main sail [see picture (1)] and a new small solar panel was installed with a solar pulse devise to assure an efficient charge for the small battery (for lights, GPS, radio etc).
