“HERITAGE” Hull Number: 760, built in 1982 by C. E. Ryder of Bristol, Rhode Island. Designed and lines drawn by the notable Carl Alberg, around 1957. After having purchased her a second time, I conducted a thorough going over, recommissioned her, and launched her for sea trials, and pleasure sailing early December, 2015 in North Carolina. Transited North to Virginia and hauled her back out of the water on January 4th, 2016. She is currently resting on a 1982 single axle TRIAD trailer and also comes equipped with a NEW Yamaha 4HP long shaft outboard that was purchased December 2015.
I have meticulously gone through every inch of this vessel. I purchased her the first time, from the original owner, in 2011. She is worthy of all compliments and is every bit as capitivating as her photos show. Must evaluate in person to fully appreciate the detailed work and restoration I have performed, along with some tasteful custom additions. I’m meticulous in nature, very detail oriented and have spared no expense in time and money to get her right. I will be hauling her back out soon, and placed back on her trailer, most likely by mid January, 2016 at the latest. Her topsides (boot stripe and hull) were painted over 12 years ago, but still look good, but not perfect. She has some marks and superficial gel coat cracks on her top sides, but no structural issues what so ever. I have installed some custom touches to her, a mast compression strut, double stern cleats, amidship cleats, bronze boom tent tie off eyes, outboard motor bracket in well, motor well cover, solid teak cabin sole, new teak in select areas, sail locker line management system, bronze builders plaque, G-10 garolite backing plates, all fittings bedded properly, topping lift, bronze locks, bronze hasp, and so on. Must see to appreciate. Please keep in mind, her decks are still the original gel coat with molded in non skid. Although in good serviceable condition, not perfect. I have painted in the areas that I performed repairs or modifications (I removed the original life line stanchions). Did some recore work in the cockpit area around the rudder shaft/tiller head assembly. Glassed in a previous owner hole, etc.. All work done by me and documented. I have extensive, expert experience in glass work, wood work, bright work and older vessel refurbishment.
