Well-kept, solid, and pretty, Biscuit is one of the later Sea Sprite 23s built. Many recent upgrades, particularly sails and running and standing rigging. We sailed this boat engineless almost all of the time, with a Honda 2hp stowed below in case the wind dropped.
Hull & Deck
Original Gel-coat in generally good condition, polished and waxed annually
Molded non-skid with tan paint, worn in places but serviceable
Stainless bow pulpit
Varnished teak tiller
Other exterior wood left to weather naturally, all in good condition with the exception of companionway drop boards, which are delaminating
Sails & Rigging
Main w/2 reefs and 100% jib (2012), by Pope Sails in Rockland, ME
Laminate 150% genoa (2014), by Pope Sails. Used twice.
Older spinnaker, sets on a spruce pole w/bronze end fittings.
All sails maintained & stored each winter at Pope Sails .
2011 New forestay and upper shrouds. New main halyard.
2012 New 4:1 outhaul. New main sheet and spinnaker sheets.
2103 New 6:1 adjustable backstay. New jib halyard (VPC).
2014 New aft lower shrouds. New genoa sheets (VPC).
Engine & Electronics
2011 Honda 2hp, air cooled.
Professionally serviced and winterized. Pushes the boat at 5kts and weighs 28 pounds. Mounts in motorwell aft of cockpit, or stows securely below on a cedar pad under the port cockpit seat.

6v deep-cycle battery powers cabin and running lights
Accommodations
V-birth forward, with shelves above. 2 bronze opening ports w/screens. Aft of births are built-in counters w/stainless sink to starboard and a large icebox opposite. Ice box is well insulated and watertight. Sink supplied by 5 gal fresh water tank. Hand pump (rebuilt 2011). Original cushions for v-birth and starboard quarter birth, in fair condition. Excellent gimbled “seacook” stove (propane), w/stainless mount next to sink.
