2022 SEA SPRITE REGATTA

Under bright blue summer skies and 12 – 14 knots of southwesterly breeze, PRO John Mooney and Roger Carney set up two wonderful races for the 2022 Sea Sprite Annual Regatta.  While our participation was down somewhat from last year due to summer travel plans and boat upgrading, it was delightful sailing and stiff, close competition.

 

After two races perennial champion, Bob Catani nailed down his reputation as the skipper to keep in your sights as he scored two first-placed finishes.  In race number two, the time separating the top two boats, however, was only ten seconds after a four-mile race!

 

After the regatta, skippers and crews held a pizza dinner and awards ceremony around the firepit at the Bristol Yacht Club (No fire in the pit, however, since the air temperatures were in the 92-degree range.)

Bob Catani – Bramasole – 1 – 1 = 2

Bob Rude – Oasis – 2 – 2 = 4

Dom Messerlli – New Hope – 3 – 3 = 6

Mark Rotsky – Lullabelle – 4  – Did Not Start
